Sport and Recreation to Strengthen Community

We all know about the benefits of sport and physical activity so it's great to hear that Carcoarians will benefit from the formation of the Carcoar Sport and Recreation Club which aims to improve the health and well-being of local residents. CSRC secretary Adam Lowe said that sport has always been a major part of the town and that with the formation of this new club he hoped that it would help 'build' the community. Already forty members have signed up to the new association which aims to promote cricket, tennis, football and other sporting activities for both younger and senior members of the community. The group has big plans and is currently looking at obtaining funding to reinvigorate the old Sports Ground in Naylor Street.
