Believed to originally have been the printing office for the Carcoar Chronicle newspaper and later the town’s Barber shop, it’s been some years since the last beard was trimmed and an advert was placed in the local paper. Carcoar Dam Camping Ground The Dam is about 5 kilometres from Carcoar. Situated on the shores of the dam this free camping ground is overlooked by cattle grazing in farm paddocks and a wind farm on the foot hills of Mount Macquarie. A popular stopover for campers, caravans and motorhomes the camping ground has a an amenities block with showers and fresh drinking water.
