Carcoar Pays Tribute to Classy Colleen

On Sunday November 27 a special afternoon tea was held at the Carcoar School of Arts to honour longtime storekeeper and community icon, Colleen Howarth. In a show of community solidarity the hall was packed with new and old residents who came along to thank Colleen and her husband Charlie for their friendship and for their many years of behind-the-scenes support of all that is Carcoar. A highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of a book to Colleen containing photographs and words of appreciation from the community along with a painting by local artist Nick Hansen. No doubt Colleen and Charlie will continue to be part of the lifeblood of our community for many years to come.
