

Shalom Big Fat Christmas BBQ
On Friday December 15 Shalom will be hosting a Christmas Barbeque and, in the spirit of peace and goodwill, the good folk on the hill would like to extend an open invitation to all Carcoarians to attend. Trusteeship Gazetted
The trusteeship of the Carcoar School of Arts has now been gazetted by the Department of Lands and Property. The School of Arts Community Hall Carcoar Inc. are the new trustees. The new body is currently looking at obtaining funding to undertake urgent repairs to the hall which has been a focus for community gatherings for well over a century. Village Plan On Track
On Wednesday 22 November Blayney Shire Council invited members of the Carcoar community to come along and revisit the vision and projects for Carcoar which were first identified at the 'Our Carcoar' meeting which was held back in 2015. Around fifty locals attended the workshop and shared their thoughts on topics which included new business opportunities and encouraging tourism activities. Overall the general feeling was positive. Nature On Your Doorstep
It has been two years since the REVIVE project at Pound Flat first began and today the area is showing tremendous signs of recovery thanks to the efforts of the Green Army, Blayney Shire Council and local volunteers. Three interpretive panels have recently been installed in the bus shelter in Kurt Fearnley Park. Through words and images the panels will transport visitors and locals through Carcoar's rich history from early settlement through to more recent times.
