D2E Gardening Expo
The Down to Earth Garden Expo and Plant fair which is held every year to raise much needed funds for the Carcoar Hospital Museum is on again at the Carcoar Showground on Sunday April 29. A Warm Welcome For Mrs Frost
Recently the students of Carcoar Public School gave the the new Principal a warm welcome with a tour of the village including the Toy Museum and Court House where they put the new teacher on trial. Also present at the meet and greet were representatives of local organisations and members of the community. Diana Frost will be filling the position for the next twelve months. Foyer Facelift
The foyer of the Carcoar School of Arts has recently been given a heritage makeover. Architraves and skirtings have been repaired, floors have been waxed and the walls have been patched and painted in muted shades which reflect the period when the building was constructed. The hall committee would be interested in any items of memorabilia connected with the building for possible display


Farewell Slim
Sad news with the passing of well known local identity Slim Hamilton. He and his wife Ruby, who passed away in June last year, were much loved and respected by the Carcoar community. Slim began his working life as a delivery driver for a Carcoar storekeeper and later got a job at the abbatoir. He also worked for the Department of Main Roads and as a handyman at the hospital. Some years back both Slim and Ruby received a special award for their services to the community. The c

There are two Annual General meetings to be held on Tuesday March 13. The Carcoar Sport and Recreation Club will hold its AGM at 6pm (contact Adam Lowe on 0488 129 724) followed by the Carcoar PH&A AGM at 7.30pm (contact Joanna Tait on 0429 924 354). Both meetings will be held at the Royal Hotel Caroar.


Down 2 Earth Gardening Expo
In 2018 garden lovers from across the Central West will descend on Carcoar for The Down To Earth Gardening Expo and Plant Fair. The event, now in it's third year, brings together specialist plant growers from far and wide. With Autumn being the best time to plant customers will have the opportunity to purchase from the best available stock and range of plants.
