Recently the students of Carcoar Public School gave the the new Principal a warm welcome with a tour of the village including the Toy Museum and Court House where they put the new teacher on trial. The foyer of the Carcoar School of Arts has recently been given a heritage makeover. Architraves and skirtings have been repaired, floors have been waxed and the walls have been patched and painted in muted shades which reflect the period when the building was constructed. Sad news with the passing of well known local identity Slim Hamilton. He and his wife Ruby, who passed away in June last year, were much loved and respected by the Carcoar community. Slim began his working life as a delivery driver for a Carcoar storekeeper and later got a job at the abbatoir. He also worked for the Department of Main Roads and as a handyman at the hospital. Some years back both Slim and Ruby received a special award for their services to the community. The c
