Following the trendous success of the Carcoar show, the show committee have announced they will be holding a ball at the Carcoar School of Arts on Saturday Feb 23rd. Tickets cost $60pp and includes a delicious dinner created by Catherine Cumberland from Kruze catering and a live band. Bookings for tables of 8 (or an orphans table) BYO drinks and glasses. Recently members of the Carcoar community attended a meeting at the Carcoar School of Arts hosted by the CVA and Blayney Shire Council. Council representatives, including mayor Scott Ferguson and General Manager Rebecca Ryan, outlined council's expenditure for the next two years. Billed as 'A Day of Fun for Everyone', the Carcoar Village Fair attracts thousands of visitors to the historic village of Carcoar in the NSW Central Tablelands each year. Thanks to the efforts of local volunteers Carcoar can also claim to host the largest Australia Day celebration in the Central West which is no small feat for a community of around 200 residents. To commemorate this special day The Lyndhurst RSL sub branch will be holding services at Millthorpe at 7.30 am, Carcoar 9am, Mandurama 10am and Lyndhurst 11am. At the conclusion of the Lyndhurst service attendees are invited to join the RSL in a cuppa and a bite to eat at the Lyndhurst Hall.
