A Day in the Life

The Pound Flat Art Project continues to progress with Carcoar residents gathering on site to hear local Wiradjuri artist Nyree Reynolds discuss her ideas for a series of murals on the four large pillars of the highway overpass at Pound Flat. Everyone who attended the meeting was very supportive of Nyree's vision which chronicles “A Day in the Life of a Wiradjuri Family”. Further community consultation and support will be sought in the coming months. (Photo courtesy of The Blayney Chronicle)

The Great Carcoar Revival

The great Carcoar revival continues to gain momentum with one of Australia's leading lifestyle magazines, Country Style, paying a visit to the village recently. A writer and photogapher spent time shooting around the village and the 'Old Mill', home of Belinda and Steve Satterthwaite, which will feature in an upcoming edition. Visitor number have increased in the last six months and no doubt the Country Style editorial will only add to Caroar's popularity as a tourist destination.
