Bush band 'November Shorn' will be performing at the 2017 Carcoar Village Fair to be held on Australia Day. Renowned for their lively, down home style of country music the band has been performing for over thirty years with 'over 600 gigs in country halls, school halls, shearing sheds, haysheds, packing sheds, backs of trucks, verandahs, gardens, marquees, clubs, pubs etc. etc. from Bathurst to Bourke and Armidale to Gundagai'. Carcoar Pays Tribute to Classy Colleen
On Sunday November 27 a special afternoon tea was held at the Carcoar School of Arts to honour longtime storekeeper and community icon, Colleen Howarth. In a show of community solidarity the hall was packed with new and old residents who came along to thank Colleen and her husband Charlie for their friendship and for their many years of behind-the-scenes support of all that is Carcoar. The Shalom Big Fat Greek Christmas BBQ
