Sad news with the passing of well known local identity Slim Hamilton. He and his wife Ruby, who passed away in June last year, were much loved and respected by the Carcoar community. Slim began his working life as a delivery driver for a Carcoar storekeeper and later got a job at the abbatoir. He also worked for the Department of Main Roads and as a handyman at the hospital. Some years back both Slim and Ruby received a special award for their services to the community. The couple are survived by their children Michelle, Mark, Maree and Patricia as well their 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. We send our deepest sympathy to Slim's family. His funeral will take place at the Church of England in Carcoar on Monday 12 at 2.30pm. Photo courtesy of The Blayney Chronicle.
