Carcoar on the Big Screen!
On Sunday September 11 moviegoers can make tracks to the Carcoar School of Arts for a special screening of the supernatural thriller Backtrack starring Oscar winning actor Adrien Brody. Filmed partly in Carcoar the movie is a spine-chilling ghost story from the acclaimed writer-director, Michael Petroni. Brody plays psychologist Peter Bowers whose life is thrown into turmoil when he discovers that the patients he has been seeing are ghosts. Risking his own sanity, Peter delves into his past to uncover a terrifying secret which only he can put right. The film also stars Sam Neill, himself no stranger to Carcoar having filmed in the village on numerous occasions. One film reviewer described the wintry, dank setting filmed around Oberon and Carcoar as a most impressive element of the film. The screening commences at 4.30pm and will be held as a joint fundraiser for the School of Arts and the Carcoar Village Association. Cost is just $5 per person and includes a light supper after the screening.
