Congratulations to Kurt Fearnley who finished with a silver medal in his final . The five-time Australian Paralympian missed out on gold in the Games wheelchair marathon to his friend and rival Marcel Hug by a mere second. Being the true sportsman that he is Kurt described Marcel's win as “well deserved” and said on his Facebook page that he was “stoked to bring home silver.” We hope that those Carcoarians who traveled to Rio to cheer Kurt on enjoyed their trip.
