All Shook Up @ Carcoar

In the early hours of Friday morning Carcoarians were roused from their slumber by a an earth tremor which according to the Australian Governent Geoscience website measured 4.3 and lasted between 5 and 10 seconds. Residents reported a low rumble, windows shaking and the sensation of the ground shifting beneath them. The tremor was centred near Four Mile Creek Road not far from Cadia and was felt within an 84km radius. Following the tremor Cadia suspended underground mining operations.
